This Privacy Policy explains how Medication Reminder (“the App”) accesses, uses, stores, backs up, and otherwise processes information when you use the App.

1. Scope of this Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Medication Reminder mobile application and its related functions, including medication schedules, medication completion records, prescription records, notifications, home-screen widgets, local backup, Google Drive backup, image attachments, and advertising.

By using the App, you acknowledge the data practices described in this Privacy Policy. Where consent is required by applicable law, the App or a relevant third-party service may request consent separately.

2. Information Entered or Generated by the User

Depending on the features you use, the App may process the following information:

This information is provided directly by the user or generated as a result of the user’s use of the App.

3. Local Storage

Medication schedules, medication history, prescription records, settings, and related data are primarily stored locally on the user’s device.

Images selected by the user may be copied into the App’s private storage directory so that records can remain available even if the original image is moved or deleted.

The developer does not operate a separate server for collecting or centrally storing medication records or prescription records, unless a future version of the App clearly discloses otherwise and this Privacy Policy is updated.

4. Notifications and Home-Screen Widgets

If the user enables notifications, the App processes medication schedule information to create reminders at the selected times. Notification content may include medication names, dosage, and scheduled times.

Home-screen widgets may display the next medication, remaining time, medication status, or today’s schedule. This information is generated from locally stored App data.

Notification and widget content may be visible on the device’s lock screen or home screen depending on the user’s device and system settings. Users should adjust system notification privacy settings when additional privacy is required.

Medication notifications may also appear on a connected smartwatch when the user’s phone, watch, and notification settings permit it. The App does not provide a separate Wear OS application unless explicitly stated in the relevant store listing.

5. Device Permissions

The App may request or use the following permissions or system capabilities when necessary:

Exact alarms or scheduled alarms To deliver medication reminders at or near the time selected by the user, subject to Android system controls.
Vibration To vibrate the device when a medication reminder is shown, when enabled by the user.
Photo or media selection To allow the user to select prescription, receipt, or medicine images.
Internet access To load advertisements and, when selected by the user, use Google Sign-In and Google Drive backup features.
Receive device boot events To restore medication reminders and update widgets after the device restarts.

The App only requests permissions that are required for enabled features. Users may deny or revoke permissions through Android system settings, but the related features may not function correctly afterward.

6. Local JSON Backup and Restore

The App may allow the user to export medication records, prescription records, settings, and related metadata as a local JSON backup file.

Local backup files are created or selected only through actions initiated by the user. Files exported outside the App may be accessed, copied, shared, or deleted by the user, the operating system, file-management applications, cloud-storage providers, or other applications selected by the user.

Users are responsible for protecting exported backup files and avoiding disclosure of files containing sensitive medication or prescription information.

7. Google Sign-In and Google Drive Backup

The App may offer optional Google Sign-In and Google Drive backup and restore functions. These features are not required to use the App’s basic local functions.

When the user signs in, the App may receive limited Google account information required to authenticate the user, such as an account identifier, display name, or email address, depending on the information provided by Google and the permissions granted by the user.

When Google Drive backup is used, the App uploads backup data to the Google Drive account selected by the user. Depending on the implemented backup option, backup data may include:

Google Drive access is intended to be limited to files created or selected for use by the App, consistent with the permissions requested by the App.

Manual backups occur when initiated by the user. Automatic backups may occur if the user explicitly enables the automatic backup setting and remains signed in.

The developer does not receive the user’s Google password. Google authentication and Google Drive services are operated by Google and are subject to Google’s own terms and privacy policy.

Users may disconnect the App from their Google Account or revoke access through their Google Account security and permissions settings. Revoking access may disable Google Drive backup and restore functions but does not automatically delete local App data.

8. Advertising and Google AdMob

The App may display banner and interstitial advertisements provided by Google AdMob.

Google Mobile Ads and its service providers may automatically process certain information for advertising, fraud prevention, security, analytics, frequency control, service delivery, measurement, and regulatory compliance. Depending on the user’s device, region, consent choices, and Google configuration, such information may include:

Advertising data is processed by Google and other advertising partners under their respective policies. The developer does not independently receive the user’s medication names, prescription images, or medication history through AdMob merely because an advertisement is displayed.

Where required, the App or Google’s consent-management tools may present privacy choices or consent messages. The availability and form of these choices may vary by country or region.

9. Data Sharing

The developer does not sell medication records, prescription records, or attached medical images.

Locally stored data generally remains on the device until the user:

Files exported by the user, files stored in Google Drive, and files shared with other services are not necessarily deleted when the App is uninstalled. Users must manage or delete those files through the relevant file manager, Google Drive account, or third-party service.

The App does not require the creation of a separate developer account. Google Sign-In, when available, is used to access optional Google Drive features and does not create an independent account managed by the developer.

11. Data Security

The developer uses reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the App to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, alteration, loss, or disclosure.

However, no device, storage method, internet transmission, backup service, or security measure can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should protect their devices, Google accounts, exported files, and screen-lock credentials.

12. Children’s Privacy

The App is a general medication-management utility and is not specifically directed to children. A parent or legal guardian should supervise use by a child and manage any medication information entered into the App.

The developer does not knowingly use the App to directly request personal information from children for independent marketing or profiling purposes.

13. Medical Disclaimer

The App is provided only as a medication schedule and record management tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, prescriptions, dosage recommendations, or emergency services.

Users must follow the instructions of a qualified doctor, pharmacist, or other healthcare professional. Users should not start, stop, change, or delay medication based solely on information shown by the App.

Notification delivery may be delayed, blocked, or prevented by device settings, battery restrictions, operating-system behavior, permission settings, network conditions, smartwatch settings, or technical failure. The App must not be used as the only means of managing critical or life-sustaining medication.

In a medical emergency, contact the appropriate local emergency service or a qualified healthcare provider immediately.

14. Third-Party Services and Intellectual Property

The App may use third-party services, software development kits, libraries, platforms, and trademarks, including Google Play, Google AdMob, Google Sign-In, and Google Drive.

All third-party names, product names, logos, trademarks, and service marks are the property of their respective owners and are used only to identify compatible or integrated services.

The App is independently developed and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected with Google, any pharmaceutical company, hospital, medical institution, government agency, or healthcare provider unless explicitly stated otherwise.

15. International Processing

Third-party providers such as Google may process information in countries other than the user’s country of residence. Their processing is governed by their own privacy policies, contractual safeguards, and applicable law.

16. Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes to App features, third-party services, legal requirements, or data practices.

The updated version will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Where required by law, additional notice or consent may be provided.

17. Developer and Contact Information

For the developer’s current name, business information, and contact email address, please refer to the developer contact section of the App’s official Google Play Store listing.

Privacy-related questions, requests, or concerns may be submitted using the contact information shown on the Google Play Store listing.

When contacting the developer, please include the App name and a clear description of the request. Do not send medication records, prescription images, government identification numbers, passwords, or other unnecessary sensitive information by email.

본 개인정보처리방침은 복약 알림 앱(이하 “앱”)이 사용자의 정보를 어떠한 방식으로 접근·이용·저장·백업 및 처리하는지 설명합니다.

1. 적용 범위

본 개인정보처리방침은 복약 일정, 복용 완료 기록, 처방 기록, 알림, 홈 화면 위젯, 로컬 백업, Google Drive 백업, 이미지 첨부 및 광고를 포함한 앱과 관련 기능에 적용됩니다.

사용자는 앱을 이용함으로써 본 개인정보처리방침에 설명된 데이터 처리 방식을 확인하게 됩니다. 관련 법률상 별도의 동의가 필요한 경우 앱 또는 해당 제3자 서비스가 별도의 동의를 요청할 수 있습니다.

2. 사용자가 입력하거나 생성하는 정보

사용자가 선택한 기능에 따라 앱은 다음 정보를 처리할 수 있습니다.

해당 정보는 사용자가 직접 입력하거나 앱 사용 과정에서 생성됩니다.

3. 기기 내부 저장

복약 일정, 복용 이력, 처방 기록, 앱 설정 및 관련 데이터는 기본적으로 사용자의 기기 내부에 저장됩니다.

사용자가 선택한 이미지는 원본 이미지가 이동되거나 삭제된 이후에도 기록을 유지할 수 있도록 앱 전용 내부 저장공간으로 복사될 수 있습니다.

향후 앱 버전에서 달리 명확히 고지하고 본 개인정보처리방침을 변경하지 않는 한, 개발자는 복약 기록 또는 처방 기록을 수집·통합 저장하기 위한 별도의 자체 서버를 운영하지 않습니다.

4. 알림 및 홈 화면 위젯

사용자가 알림 기능을 활성화하면 앱은 사용자가 등록한 복약 일정 정보를 이용하여 지정된 시간에 알림을 생성합니다. 알림에는 약 이름, 복용량 및 예정시간이 표시될 수 있습니다.

홈 화면 위젯에는 다음 복약 일정, 남은 시간, 복용 상태 또는 오늘의 일정이 표시될 수 있습니다. 해당 정보는 기기 내부에 저장된 앱 데이터를 바탕으로 생성됩니다.

기기의 시스템 설정에 따라 알림이나 위젯 정보가 잠금 화면 또는 홈 화면에 노출될 수 있습니다. 추가적인 보호가 필요한 사용자는 Android 알림 개인정보 보호 설정을 조정해야 합니다.

휴대전화와 스마트워치의 연결 상태 및 알림 설정에 따라 연결된 스마트워치에도 복약 알림이 표시될 수 있습니다. 스토어 등록정보에 별도로 명시하지 않는 한 본 앱은 독립적인 Wear OS 전용 앱을 제공하지 않습니다.

5. 기기 권한 및 시스템 기능

앱은 필요한 기능을 제공하기 위해 다음 권한 또는 시스템 기능을 요청하거나 사용할 수 있습니다.

인터넷 광고를 불러오고, 사용자가 선택한 경우 Google 로그인 및 Google Drive 백업 기능을 이용하기 위해 사용합니다.
기기 부팅 완료 수신 휴대전화 재부팅 후 복약 알림을 다시 등록하고 위젯을 갱신하기 위해 사용합니다.

앱은 활성화된 기능에 필요한 권한만 요청합니다. 사용자는 Android 시스템 설정에서 권한을 거부하거나 철회할 수 있으나, 이 경우 관련 기능이 정상적으로 작동하지 않을 수 있습니다.

6. 로컬 JSON 백업 및 복원

앱은 복약 기록, 처방 기록, 앱 설정 및 관련 메타데이터를 로컬 JSON 백업 파일로 내보내는 기능을 제공할 수 있습니다.

로컬 백업 파일은 사용자가 직접 백업 또는 복원 기능을 실행한 경우에만 생성되거나 선택됩니다. 앱 외부로 내보낸 파일은 사용자, 운영체제, 파일 관리 앱, 클라우드 저장소 또는 사용자가 선택한 다른 앱에서 접근·복사·공유·삭제될 수 있습니다.

사용자는 민감한 복약 또는 처방 정보가 포함된 백업 파일을 안전하게 보관하고 제3자에게 불필요하게 공개되지 않도록 관리할 책임이 있습니다.

7. Google 로그인 및 Google Drive 백업

앱은 선택 기능으로 Google 로그인 및 Google Drive 백업·복원을 제공할 수 있습니다. 해당 기능은 기본적인 로컬 기능 이용에 필수적이지 않습니다.

사용자가 로그인하면 앱은 사용자 인증을 위해 필요한 제한적인 Google 계정 정보에 접근할 수 있습니다. Google이 제공하는 정보와 사용자가 허용한 범위에 따라 계정 식별자, 표시 이름 또는 이메일 주소 등이 포함될 수 있습니다.

Google Drive 백업을 사용하면 앱은 사용자가 선택한 Google Drive 계정으로 백업 데이터를 업로드합니다. 구현된 백업 기능에 따라 다음 정보가 포함될 수 있습니다.

Google Drive 접근은 앱이 요청한 권한 범위 내에서 앱이 생성하거나 사용자가 앱에서 사용하도록 선택한 파일로 제한하는 것을 목적으로 합니다.

수동 백업은 사용자가 직접 실행할 때 수행됩니다. 자동 백업은 사용자가 자동 백업 설정을 명시적으로 활성화하고 Google 로그인 상태를 유지하는 경우 수행될 수 있습니다.

개발자는 사용자의 Google 비밀번호를 전달받거나 저장하지 않습니다. Google 인증 및 Google Drive 서비스는 Google이 운영하며 Google의 약관과 개인정보처리방침이 적용됩니다.

Google Mobile Ads 및 관련 서비스 제공자는 광고 제공, 부정행위 방지, 보안, 분석, 광고 노출 빈도 관리, 서비스 운영, 측정 및 법적 의무 준수를 위해 특정 정보를 자동으로 처리할 수 있습니다. 사용자의 기기, 지역, 동의 선택 및 Google 설정에 따라 다음 정보가 포함될 수 있습니다.

광고 관련 데이터는 Google 및 광고 파트너의 정책에 따라 처리됩니다. 단순히 광고가 표시된다는 이유만으로 개발자가 AdMob을 통해 사용자의 약 이름, 처방전 이미지 또는 복용 이력을 별도로 전달받는 것은 아닙니다.

기기 내부에 저장된 데이터는 일반적으로 사용자가 다음 조치를 수행할 때까지 유지됩니다.

사용자가 외부로 내보낸 파일, Google Drive에 저장한 파일 또는 다른 서비스와 공유한 파일은 앱을 삭제하더라도 자동으로 삭제되지 않을 수 있습니다. 해당 파일은 파일 관리자, Google Drive 계정 또는 관련 제3자 서비스에서 사용자가 직접 관리하거나 삭제해야 합니다.

앱은 별도의 개발자 관리 회원계정 생성을 요구하지 않습니다. Google 로그인 기능이 제공되는 경우 이는 선택적인 Google Drive 기능을 이용하기 위한 것이며, 개발자가 관리하는 별도 계정을 생성하는 것이 아닙니다.

11. 정보 보호

개발자는 앱의 특성과 처리 정보의 성격에 적합한 합리적인 기술적·관리적 조치를 통해 무단 접근, 변경, 분실 또는 공개의 위험을 줄이기 위해 노력합니다.

그러나 어떠한 기기, 저장 방식, 인터넷 전송, 백업 서비스 또는 보안 조치도 완전한 안전을 보장할 수 없습니다. 사용자는 자신의 기기, Google 계정, 내보낸 파일 및 화면 잠금 정보를 안전하게 관리해야 합니다.

12. 아동의 개인정보

본 앱은 일반적인 복약 관리 도구이며 아동을 직접적인 대상으로 제작된 앱이 아닙니다. 아동이 앱을 사용하는 경우 부모 또는 법정대리인이 사용을 감독하고 입력되는 복약 정보를 관리해야 합니다.

개발자는 독립적인 마케팅 또는 프로파일링 목적으로 앱을 통해 아동에게 개인정보 제공을 직접 요청하지 않습니다.

13. 의료 관련 면책 고지

본 앱은 복약 일정과 기록을 관리하기 위한 보조 도구이며, 의료 상담, 진단, 치료, 처방, 복용량 결정 또는 응급의료 서비스를 제공하지 않습니다.

사용자는 의사, 약사 또는 기타 자격을 갖춘 의료 전문가의 지시를 따라야 합니다. 앱에 표시된 정보만을 근거로 약 복용을 시작·중단·변경하거나 복용을 지연해서는 안 됩니다.

알림은 기기 설정, 배터리 제한, 운영체제 동작, 권한 설정, 네트워크 상태, 스마트워치 설정 또는 기술적 오류로 인해 지연되거나 표시되지 않을 수 있습니다. 생명 유지 또는 매우 중요한 약의 복용을 관리하는 유일한 수단으로 본 앱을 사용해서는 안 됩니다.

응급 상황에서는 즉시 해당 지역의 응급 구조기관이나 의료 전문가에게 연락해야 합니다.

14. 제3자 서비스 및 지식재산권

앱은 Google Play, Google AdMob, Google 로그인 및 Google Drive를 포함한 제3자 서비스, 소프트웨어 개발 키트, 라이브러리, 플랫폼 및 상표를 사용할 수 있습니다.

제3자의 명칭, 제품명, 로고, 상표 및 서비스표에 관한 권리는 각 권리자에게 있으며, 해당 명칭은 호환 또는 연동 서비스를 식별하기 위한 목적으로만 사용됩니다.

본 앱은 독립적으로 개발되었으며 별도로 명시하지 않는 한 Google, 제약회사, 병원, 의료기관, 정부기관 또는 의료서비스 제공자와 제휴·후원·보증 또는 공식적인 관련이 없습니다.

15. 국외 처리

Google 등의 제3자 서비스 제공자는 사용자의 거주 국가 이외의 국가에서 정보를 처리할 수 있습니다. 해당 정보 처리는 각 서비스 제공자의 개인정보처리방침, 계약상 보호조치 및 적용 법률에 따릅니다.

16. 개인정보처리방침 변경

앱 기능, 제3자 서비스, 관련 법령 또는 데이터 처리 방식이 변경되는 경우 본 개인정보처리방침이 변경될 수 있습니다.

변경된 개인정보처리방침은 새로운 최종 수정일과 함께 본 페이지에 게시됩니다. 관련 법률에서 요구하는 경우 별도의 안내 또는 동의 절차가 제공될 수 있습니다.

17. 개발자 및 문의처

개발자의 최신 이름, 사업자 정보 및 문의 이메일은 앱의 공식 Google Play 스토어 등록정보에 표시된 개발자 연락처를 참고해 주시기 바랍니다.

개인정보 보호 관련 문의, 요청 또는 우려 사항은 Google Play 스토어 등록정보에 표시된 연락처를 통해 제출할 수 있습니다.

문의 시 앱 이름과 문의 내용을 명확하게 작성해 주십시오. 이메일로 복약 기록, 처방전 이미지, 신분증 번호, 비밀번호 또는 그 밖의 불필요한 민감정보를 보내지 마십시오.
