Important notice
This policy reflects the app's current functionality. If the app later
adds or changes advertising SDKs, analytics, server features, account
features, or data practices, this policy and the Google Play Data
safety declarations will be updated to match the actual practices.
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Morse Code Translator
(the “App”) accesses, uses, stores, and shares user and device data.
The App provides English text and International Morse code conversion,
a Morse reference guide, sound, vibration and flash signal playback,
conversion history, settings storage, and JSON backup and restore.
The App does not provide account registration or a developer-operated
user account. It is not designed to upload conversion content or
history to a server operated by the developer.
2. Data handled directly by the App
2.1 Text and Morse code entered by the user
Text and Morse code entered for conversion are processed on the
device. The App does not send this content to a developer-operated
server.
2.2 Conversion history and settings
The following information may be stored locally on the device to
provide App functionality:
Selected interface language
Light or dark display theme
Sound, vibration, and flash settings
Signal playback speed
Recent conversion history
Successful conversion count used to determine the advertising
display interval
2.3 JSON backup files
When the backup feature is used, the App creates a JSON file
containing history and settings and sends it to the storage or sharing
destination selected by the user. The App does not create a backup
file unless the user initiates an export.
After a backup file is shared with a third-party app, cloud storage
service, or another person, the recipient's or service provider's
privacy practices apply.
3. Data that may be handled by advertising services
The App may use the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) to provide
advertising. The advertising SDK may automatically collect or process
the following information for ad delivery, measurement, analytics,
security, and fraud prevention:

4. Permissions and device features
4.1 Internet access
Internet access may be used to load advertising content and
communicate with advertising services.
4.2 Camera and flash
Camera or flash-related permissions and APIs are used only to play
Morse signals through the device flash. The App does not capture,
store, or send photos or videos to the developer.
4.3 Vibration
The vibration feature is used to play Morse signals through device
vibration.
4.4 File selection and sharing
The system file picker and share sheet are used when the user exports
or restores a JSON backup. The App does not intentionally browse or
upload files that the user has not selected.
5. Purposes of processing
The App and related SDKs use information only for the following purposes:
Providing text and Morse code conversion
Maintaining conversion history and user settings
Playing sound, vibration, and flash signals
Creating, sharing, and restoring backup files
Providing and measuring advertising
Maintaining App stability, security, and fraud prevention
Complying with legal obligations and applicable policies
The App does not sell user-entered conversion content or use it to
create a developer-operated advertising profile.
6. Third-party processing and disclosure
Google and advertising service providers may process information to
provide advertising within the App.
If the user shares a backup or conversion result, the selected
messenger, email provider, cloud storage provider, or recipient may
process that information.
The developer does not intentionally sell or disclose locally stored
conversion history to third parties, except where disclosure is
required by law, legal process, or a valid governmental request.
7. Retention and deletion
7.1 Local App data
Conversion history and settings may remain on the device until the
user deletes them, clears App data, or uninstalls the App.
7.2 Deleting history
Users can delete individual history items or all history within the
App.
7.3 Clearing App data or uninstalling
Clearing the App's data through the operating system or uninstalling
the App may delete locally stored App data. Backup files previously
exported by the user must be deleted separately.
7.4 Advertising data
Information processed by Google or advertising providers is retained
and deleted according to those providers' policies and user settings.
8. Security
The developer seeks to limit unnecessary data access and use only the
permissions reasonably required for the App's functions.
Conversion history and settings managed directly by the App are
stored locally by default. Security for network communications
performed by advertising SDKs is governed by the SDK and service
provider's technical safeguards.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
The developer applies reasonable safeguards within the scope permitted
by law and the App's technical design.
9. Children's privacy
The App is not specifically designed as a child-directed service. It
does not provide an account feature that directly asks users to submit
a name, email address, telephone number, or date of birth.
Parents and guardians should review advertising and privacy settings
and provide appropriate supervision when children use a device. If
the developer becomes aware that legally protected personal
information of a child has been unintentionally collected, reasonable
steps will be taken where required by applicable law and technically
feasible.
10. International processing
Third-party providers such as Google may process information on
servers or facilities located outside the user's country. Such
processing is subject to the provider's privacy safeguards and
applicable law.
11. Your choices
Sound, vibration, and flash can be disabled in the App.
Camera-related permissions can be managed in device settings.
The advertising ID can be reset or deleted in device settings.
Ad personalization choices can be managed through Google settings.
Conversion history can be deleted within the App.
Local data can be removed by clearing App data or uninstalling.
Where consent is legally required for advertising, Google or an
applicable consent management tool may present a consent choice.
12. External links and third-party services
The App or this page may refer or link to external services, including
Google Play and Google's privacy information. Those third parties are
responsible for their own content and privacy practices.
13. Limitations
The App is a general tool for Morse code learning, translation, and
signal playback. It does not provide or guarantee emergency
communication, rescue, location, navigation, medical, or safety
services.
Flash, vibration, and sound availability may depend on hardware,
operating system settings, battery state, permissions, and
manufacturer restrictions.
14. Intellectual property
Rights in the App's original software code, interface, graphics,
wording, and related content belong to the developer or the applicable
rights holder.
References to “Morse Code” and factual descriptions of International
Morse code do not imply affiliation with, endorsement by, or approval
from any third party. The App is not an official application of any
government agency, rescue organization, communications organization,
game company, or device manufacturer.
Third-party service names and trademarks are used only as reasonably
necessary for identification and description and remain the property
of their respective owners.
15. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This policy may be updated when App functionality, SDKs, laws, or
Google Play policies change. For material changes, the effective date
will be updated and notice may be provided through the App or store
listing where appropriate.
