This Privacy Policy explains how Text Converter Lab (“the App”) handles information when you use it. The App provides offline text/HEX/Base64 conversion utilities and displays ads via Google AdMob.
1) Information the App processes
- User-provided content: text/HEX/Base64 you enter for conversion. This content is processed on-device.
- Local history: the App can save a limited number of recent A/B values per converter mode using local storage (
SharedPreferences). - Ad-related data: the App uses Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob). AdMob may automatically collect data such as device identifiers (including the Android Advertising ID), IP address, app interactions, and diagnostics to provide and measure ads.
2) What the App does not collect
- The App does not require account sign-in.
- The App does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or precise location.
- The App does not upload your conversion inputs/outputs to any developer-owned server.
3) How your data is used
- Conversion: to convert between formats you select.
- History: to show your recent A/B entries for convenience. History is stored locally on your device.
- Advertising: to display banner ads and rewarded ads (for example, allowing a large conversion after watching an ad).
4) Data storage and retention
- Local history is stored on your device and remains until you clear app data/uninstall the App (or until overwritten by newer history entries).
- The App does not maintain developer-hosted databases of your conversion content.
5) Sharing of information
The App may share information with Google AdMob via the Google Mobile Ads SDK to serve ads and measure performance. For details on how Google uses data, please review Google’s policies: Google Privacy Policy and Google AdMob.
6) Permissions
INTERNET: required to load ads.com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID: used for advertising and analytics related to ads (Android).
7) Children’s privacy
The App is a utility tool intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can help address it.
8) Security
We take reasonable steps to limit data handling. Conversion is performed locally and local history remains on your device. However, no method of storage is 100% secure, and you should avoid entering highly sensitive personal information into any app.
9) Your choices
- You can clear local history by clearing the App’s storage/data in your device settings, or uninstalling the App.
- You can adjust ad personalization settings in your Google account / device settings (availability depends on region and device).
10) Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Effective date” above when changes are made.
